Job summary

Tusker is seeking a Lead Security System Technician to install and commission electronic security systems from start to finish, reporting to the Manager of Physical Security. You will lead project sites, interpret design drawings, and ensure successful deployments.

The role requires hands-on installation of cameras, card readers, access control, and related equipment, plus programming, troubleshooting, and on-site coordination with the team. Regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience installing and commissioning physical security systems.
Ability to read construction documents and technical specifications.
Basic IP network configuration understanding.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead project sites in a supervisory role, directing technicians on installation and commissioning.
Interpret system design drawings, floor plans, and construction documents.
Install cameras, readers, door hardware, intrusion panels, power supplies, and cabling.
Test and commission systems, program IP addresses, enroll devices, and verify connectivity.
Provide regular project updates to management and maintain documentation.
