Job summary

Harvard Protection Services seeks a Security Supervisor to lead security personnel and deliver professional, customer-focused life safety services. You will supervise staff, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate emergencies.

You will schedule, review logs and incidents, mentor staff, and maintain strong communication with customers and guests while upholding the company's PEOPLE FIRST values.

Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses.
• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Supervisory experience or certifications preferred.
• Previous contract security, law enforcement, military or customer service experience helpful.
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Write routine correspondence, log entries and incident reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

• Ensure quality services meet customer expectations and contract requirements by supervising staff.
• Manage scheduling, overtime, and review of logs and incident reports.
• Provide recommendations for personnel actions for staff under supervision.
• Maintain professional demeanor and assist customers, employees and guests.
• Maintain visible presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor the environment for suspicious/unsafe activity.
• Answer phones professionally as a Security Supervisor.
• Enforce facility policies and procedures within scope.
• Coordinate emergency response and action planning.
• Initiate investigations and write incident reports.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activity.
