Job summary

The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a full-time Security Shift Supervisor to maintain a safe environment for staff, patrons, and assets during performances and daily operations. You will supervise Security Officers, assist with training, and ensure compliance with policies and law.

You will monitor security systems, coordinate with departments, conduct campus patrols, issue badges, manage keys and radios, and respond quickly to emergencies with professional judgment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or a minimum of three (3) years of security-related experience.
• Valid Security “D” License required per state requirements.
• Prior supervisory experience in security is required.
• Must multitask, adapt to changing environments, and remain calm during emergencies.
• Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays; overtime may be needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and support Security Officers on assigned shifts while ensuring policy compliance.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; prepare timely security incident reports for management.
• Coordinate with Front of House and other departments for security during events and daily operations.
• Coordinate and place police officers during shows and events for adequate coverage.
• Monitor security systems in the control room and surveillance devices per procedures.
• Conduct Deggy campus tours and report malfunctions or hazards promptly.
• Process deliveries, issue and track securities keys and radios, and manage access devices.
• Handle lost and found items per procedures.
• Issue Kravis Center badges to visitors per access-control policies.
• Maintain a professional, courteous presence with patrons and staff.
• Answer Security Desk calls and respond to inquiries appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet security and safety needs.
