If you are a Lead Security Officer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting position for you! Based in our Shakopee facility. The role of a Lead Security Officer 1 is critical to the safety of our employees and buildings. As a Lead Officer on our 3rd shift, you will work closely with our contract security team, provide onsite support, and travel between our Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, and Shakopee facilities driving our Emerson security Vehicle. Our 3rd shift is M-F 9:30PM-6:00AM.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide a control and service function. Serve as a source of information/assistance for employees/visitors. Monitor building conditions to ensure compliance with policies/procedures. Serve as communications coordinator in event of emergency situations.
  • Assure that company personnel and property are protected against a variety of vulnerabilities. Maintain security presence 24 hours a day at all locations; collaborate with other Lead Security Officers. May conduct preliminary investigations as directed. Visit unguarded Emerson - Twin Cities facilities to ensure compliance with Security policies/procedures. Act as first point of contact for desk security officers in case of emergency and other issues. Provide guidance and training to contract security officers as appropriate. May serve in an “on-call” capacity during non-business hours.
  • Assist the Security Manager as required. Ensure that security equipment and systems are properly used and maintained. Provide security training to non-security personnel.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required to provide for continuity of operations. Work assigned shifts to provide required Lead Security presence. Work overtime hours with minimal notice during staffing shortages/emergencies. Participate in training on a regular basis. Provide administrative/clerical support as directed.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $48,000 - $55,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
