Job Description

Responsible for providing for the safety and security of guests, employees, and property and company assets. Maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws and regulations. The Lead Security Officer acts in the capacity of a Security Supervisor, running shift operations in the absence of the supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Patrol grounds, lobbies, corridors, and public rooms; confer with management, interview guests and employees, and investigate infringements, disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, and accidents.
  2. Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately to dispatch, security podium, and employee entrance areas; assign officers to situations in progress.
  3. Monitor and observe the consumption and service of alcoholic beverages and remove guests in violation of casino resort policies and procedures.
  4. Protect the money room, administrative offices, and other areas of the casino resort.
  5. Properly identify all employees entering the business.
  6. Perform funds verifications, table games and slot machine drops, and transport between departments.
  7. Warn or exclude guests violating casino policies and procedures.
  8. Report all accidents and conditions requiring correction; write reports including actions taken.
  9. Respond to emergency medical situations.
  10. Provide traffic control, implement evacuation plans and routes, and maintain crowd control at entry points when necessary.
  11. Assist security officers with assigned duties when necessary.
  12. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet requirements of a Security Officer.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift.
  • Other physical requirements include but are not limited to: lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and episodes of moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
  • Six (6) months of casino security or similar field experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
