Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Project Manager to lead and deliver moderately complex security projects from planning through closeout. You will apply PMI knowledge areas to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety, coordinating customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Travel up to 90% within the region will be required to ensure timely delivery and alignment with expectations. Strong communication, risk management, and project leadership are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree or equivalent work experience with at least five years in project management.
• Willing to travel up to 90% within the region.
• 5 years of Project Management experience in the security industry or related construction projects.
• Certification in CSPM or PMI PMP is preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead security projects from initiation through completion, controlling scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Define scope, identify risks, and coordinate resources to install security systems successfully.
• Provide project management expertise and facilitate security system installation.
• Communicate updates to management, customers, and project staff.
• Track expenditures and progress across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate vendors and manage relationships during installation.
• Inspect workmanship and ensure Johnson Controls quality standards.
• Close projects on time, meeting customer expectations.
