Prahsys Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Engineer in The Woodlands, TX, with remote work options. You will design security architectures, lead a small team, and partner with product teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in security engineering or leadership.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience in security teams.
• Background in fintech or regulated industries valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop security strategies for infrastructure, applications, and cloud.
• Architect and implement security frameworks for engineers to follow.
• Secure cloud infrastructure (GCP) and container environments (Docker).
• Improve CI/CD security with SAST, DAST, and automation.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and pentesting.
• Ensure secure software development and perform code reviews.
• Oversee vulnerability management and incident response.
• Manage a team of 2-8 security engineers and provide mentorship.
• Establish security policies and ensure HIPAA, SOC-2, PCI-DSS compliance.
• Collaborate daily with product teams to integrate security into design.
• Operate autonomously and report to CTO on strategic security decisions.
