Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Security Engineer for Proactive Security in Minnesota. The role focuses on designing, building, and scaling security solutions across Target technologies, with ownership and mentorship responsibilities.

Hybrid work arrangement applies, combining onsite and remote work based on team needs. You will define security requirements, assess risk, and drive mitigation strategies while collaborating with technology and business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in one or more information security domains (e.g., vulnerability management, threat intelligence, application security, incident response, risk management, etc.)
• Experience defining security requirements and mitigating risk across dozens of business lines, hundreds of apps, and thousands of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale security solutions for Target technologies.
• Mentor and uplift the security team with best practices.
• Lead enterprise-wide security projects (e.g., Patch Management, Risk Management) with cross-functional coordination.
• Define security requirements and assess risk across technology and business teams.
