Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer in Cyber AI to anchor cybersecurity initiatives, deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions, and act as a force multiplier across teams at our Minnesota location.

You will prototype rapidly with internal customers, guide architecture, evaluate new AI technologies, and help advance security operations, incident response and threat detection through scalable, reliable systems. This role requires 7+ years of software development and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Rapid prototyping and iterative delivery with internal customers
• Software development with Python and production delivery
• Experience with AI/ML solutions
• Workflow and process automation
• Experience in security operations, incident response or threat detection
• 7+ years of software development with at least one full cycle implementation
• Knowledge of Target technology landscape and competitors
• Expertise in multiple languages and frameworks
• End-to-end design, development and approval of product/platform/infrastructure
• Strong communication with teams and stakeholders
• System capacity/performance optimization

Responsibilities

• Anchor cybersecurity engineering initiatives and deliver AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to understand applications and operations
• Evaluate new AI technologies for Target’s environment
• Lead cross-functional planning and architectural guidance
• Develop plans, milestones, and resources for projects
• Mentor teams and remove obstacles to delivery
• Provide guidance on data standards and policies
• Promote re-use and scalable design patterns
• Lead complex construction and implementation activities
