Job summary

Franklin Fitch in Houston, TX seeks a Senior IT Security Engineer to design, implement, and strengthen security across endpoints, networks, applications, and cloud environments. You’ll tackle complex challenges and translate emerging threats into practical defenses.

This hands-on role offers technical ownership, meaningful influence, and the opportunity to mentor others while collaborating with IT and business teams to embed security into the environment by design.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Hands-on with security platforms, automation, scripting and APIs.
• Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure including servers, networks, cloud and applications.
• Experience with IAM, logging, SIEM and security event analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain security solutions across endpoints, networks, applications, and cloud.
• Investigate and resolve complex security issues and incidents.
• Monitor threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques to translate into controls.
• Work with IAM/authentication, logging, SIEM and event correlation technologies.
• Automate security processes using scripting, APIs and configuration management.
• Partner with IT and business teams to embed security into technology and business initiatives.
• Communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote security engineering best practices.
