Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Security Engineer to support a Federal customer. The role covers vulnerability management, incident response, digital forensics, and threat detection across endpoints, servers, and cloud services.

You will work with IAM systems, risk assessments, and security controls in a dynamic Microsoft 365/Azure environment. Candidates should have DHS EOD eligibility, a BA with 10+ years (or an AA with 12+ years), and a Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with senior-level security experience.
• Experience with DHS EOD requirements and federal procurement is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to simplify complex findings.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across endpoints, servers, cloud services, and applications.
• Produce clear, risk-based summaries of security assessment results and contribute to actionable reporting.
• Assist in selecting and applying appropriate information security controls with engineers and stakeholders.
• Support incident handling and response, digital forensics, threat detection, and vulnerability management processes.
• Tune and optimize Microsoft Defender suites (Defender for Endpoint/Cloud/Identity/Office 365).
• Write and review guidance for security controls, compliance, and governance in the Microsoft cloud.
