Job summary

Unwrap is seeking a Security Engineer to lead its security and compliance program within the engineering team, scale the security program, and protect the data our customers trust us with.

You will build systems that continuously improve security, drive risk-based roadmaps to leadership, defend positions on product and vendor risk, evolve identity and permissions for AI features, and work with leaders on cloud hardening and SOC 2 readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, detection engineering, or incident response.
• Broad technical depth across compute, network, and storage.
• Nice to have: detection-as-code, LLMs in security workflows, securing AI systems, container security, vendor or M&A security reviews.

Responsibilities

• Scale Unwrap’s security program: set roadmap, prioritize by risk, report to leadership.
• Build systems that continuously improve security posture.
• Be the voice of security risk: lead security reviews and defend positions on product, architecture, and vendor risk.
• Evolve identity and permissions for AI features; work on cloud hardening, secure SDLC, and SOC 2 readiness.
