Job summary

Recare is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to build and own the security program from the ground up in a fast-growing healthtech environment. You will lead vulnerability management, incident response, and security governance across ISO 27001, C5, and SOC 2 programs.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, auditors, and healthcare clients to communicate security requirements in English, while shaping secure AI-enabled workflows and platform decisions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software and security engineering.
• Led ISO 27001, C5, or SOC 2 certification cycle.
• Experience with vulnerability management and incident response.
• Strong English communication with engineers and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vulnerability management and triage findings to closure.
• Partner with Platform to review security-sensitive infrastructure decisions.
• Lead certifications and security posture (ISO 27001, C5, SOC 2) and related audits.
• Prepare reusable security documentation and respond to enterprise security inquiries from customers.
• Own incident response processes, runbooks, and on-call design for a small company.
• Monitor threat landscape and drive company-wide security baselines.
