Job summary

Target is seeking a Lead Engineer in Milwaukee to drive new application security solutions from concept to launch. You will collaborate with developers and safety engineers, building detection tooling and incident response across our environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software development, proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript, and strong cybersecurity interest. A 4-year degree is required and remote or hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development with at least one full cycle implementation.
• Production code experience in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Cybersecurity experience or strong interest/education.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and orchestration/workflow tools.
• 4-year degree in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead new security solutions from concept to launch with developers and safety engineers.
• Build incident response and detection tooling deployed across our environment.
• Collaborate with incident responders to triage applications and improve detection.
• Address complex problems as a Lead developer and ensure ongoing monitoring enhancements.
• Responsibilities may shift with business needs.
