Job summary

Novalink Solutions in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Security Analyst - Project Lead for a 1-year contract. You will lead security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis for a range of environments, coordinating with SOC and engineering teams to resolve complex incidents.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in security monitoring and MITRE ATT&CK, plus experience building dashboards and reports. A 2-year associate degree or higher, and relevant certifications, are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security monitoring and incident response.
• 2+ years of experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• 2+ years of experience with dashboard creation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Continuously review and correlate security event data across SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and threat intel to identify complex attack patterns.
• Perform deep-dive analysis of suspicious activity, validate incidents, determine root cause and impact, and escalate as needed.
• Create detailed incident reports, timelines, and post‑incident summaries with remediation guidance.
• Investigate user-reported phishing, malware infections, and policy violations; advise containment actions.
• Tune SOC playbooks and workflows; refine detection rules and thresholds to reduce false positives.
