Job summary

Critical Start, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Analyst to support a team of analysts within our Managed Security Services. The role focuses on information security monitoring and timely response in the DFW, TX region, with no travel required. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential for engaging with management across the organization.

You will mentor analysts, review incidents, and drive training to elevate the SOC’s effectiveness in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Information Security.
• CASP+ certification or an equivalent or higher certification.
• Certifications in MDR Tool Suite from relevant vendors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first-line supervisor for SOC analysts.
• Receive and respond to security incidents escalated by analysts.
• Review analyst notes and conduct in-depth analysis when needed (payloads, attackers, IOCS, threat intel).
• Mentor and train Senior and Principal Analysts with on-the-job and structured training.
• Conduct escalation and orchestration reviews to ensure quality assurance.
• Lead team training initiatives to improve SOC efficiency.
