Job summary

MITRE seeks a Lead Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deploy secure full‑stack applications for highly sensitive Intelligence Community environments. You will act as technical lead, shaping architecture, and guidingSecDevOps and data integration across multiple domains.

Requires 5+ years experience (or 3 with a related advanced degree), a CS/SE degree, and active TS/SCI with Poly. This on-site role is based in McLean, VA or Bethesda, MD with potential travel within NCR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Active Top Secret/SCI w/Poly U.S. Government security clearance required.
• On-site 5 days a week in McLean, VA or Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and architectural authority for secure, full stack development in IC environments.
• Translate enterprise requirements into scalable designs and roadmaps.
• Design secure front-end and back-end architectures across multiple security domains.
• Oversee data services, APIs, and analytic workflows across systems.
• Guide SecDevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC for repeatable deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers and present tradeoffs to leadership.
• Support transition planning and sustainment with government and partners.
