Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (SDET) to lead testing strategy and quality across new product developments within the Ethoca unit. You will design test frameworks and collaborate across teams in on-prem and cloud environments.

You will mentor peers, drive CI/CD testing, and apply AI to improve automation while building robust, scalable test solutions using Java, Selenium, and Spring Boot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid experience with CI/CD principles.
• Practical experience using AI to improve test automation.
• Advanced knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Selenium, TestRail, Junit, TestNG.
• Experience with Protractor/Jasmine.
• Experience with REST/SOAP web APIs.
• Working knowledge of Postgres and relational databases.
• Expertise in microservice-based applications development using Springboot.
• Strong Agile experience and QA knowledge across SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy new products and features as part of an agile team.
• Lead testing strategies and efforts inside and across teams and components.
• Design and implement reusable test frameworks for on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Create test plans and comprehensive test cases for all test types.
• Independently design modular, data-driven automated tests and troubleshoot defects.
• Support release processes by maintaining test suites for smoke, sanity, regression.
• Review test coverage and mentor QA team members with best practices.
