Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Lead Scrum Master / Agilist to support AI-enabled product teams in Charlotte, NC. You will facilitate Agile delivery, coach teams, remove impediments, and improve delivery practices across Telecom and Infrastructure initiatives.

You will collaborate with Delivery Leads, Product Owners, analysts, and engineers to deliver measurable customer and business value, with hybrid on-site work in Charlotte.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Five or more years of experience with product, project, delivery, or Agile practices.
• Three or more years as a Scrum Master, Agilist, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach.
• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent.
• Experience facilitating Agile delivery for technical or software product teams and resolving impediments, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, Stakeholder-management, Jira, and Confluence skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Agile operating rhythm for teams, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team planning.
• Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product thinking, self-management, and value-focused delivery.
• Proactively identify, document, elevate, and track impediments, risks, and dependencies through resolution with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, operations, and enterprise partners.
• Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, story readiness, estimation, prioritization, and Sprint Goal development while supporting backlog process.
• Maintain clear delivery information in Jira, Confluence, and related tools; use metrics to guide improvement.
• Facilitate communication among technical teams, product leadership, customers, and enterprise stakeholders; prepare for demos, planning, leadership updates, onboarding, and knowledge transfer.

Our client seeks a Lead Scrum Master / Agilist to support AI-enabled technical product teams across Telecom and Infrastructure. The role will initially support the TINA AI chatbot product team and the Infrastructure Systems Engineering cloud team, with potential to expand as Connect-AI grows. The successful candidate will serve as a hands-on servant leader who facilitates Agile delivery, coaches teams, removes impediments, improves delivery practices, and creates transparency across products, teams, and stakeholders. This individual will partner with the Delivery Lead, Product Owners, Product Analysts, technical leads, developers, and enterprise partners to help teams deliver measurable customer and business value.

Responsibilities

• Own the Agile operating rhythm for teams, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team planning. Ensure ceremonies are purposeful, time-boxed, and focused on decisions, delivery, and continuous improvement.


• Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product thinking, self-management, and value-focused delivery. Establish practical working agreements, Sprint Goals, Definitions of Ready, and Definitions of Done.


• Proactively identify, document, elevate, and track impediments, risks, and dependencies through resolution, coordinating with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, operations, and enterprise partners.


• Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, story readiness, estimation, prioritization discussions, and Sprint Goal development while supporting the backlog process without owning product decisions.


• Maintain clear delivery information in Jira, Confluence, and related tools. Use metrics such as cycle time, throughput, aging work, Sprint Goal achievement, carryover, predictability, and impediment trends to guide improvement without ranking individuals.


• Facilitate communication among technical teams, product leadership, customers, and enterprise stakeholders. Prepare teams for demonstrations, planning sessions, leadership updates, onboarding, and knowledge transfer.

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.


• Five or more years of experience with product, project, delivery, or Agile practices.


• Three or more years as a Scrum Master, Agilist, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach.


• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent.

• Preferred: Experience supporting multiple Agile teams or workstreams with varying Agile maturity.

• Preferred: Experience with Scrum and Kanban and using delivery or flow metrics to guide continuous improvement.


• Preferred: Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, communicate with technical and senior stakeholders, and bring structure to evolving work.


• Preferred: Learner mindset, curiosity, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
