Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Scrum Master in Charlotte, NC to coach teams, own the Agile rhythm, and drive delivery across AI-enabled product initiatives. You will enable effective ceremonies, backlogs, and cross-team collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes strong facilitation, metrics-driven improvement, and ensuring practical definitions of Ready and Done across multiple teams in a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Five or more years of experience with product, project, delivery, or Agile practices.
• Three or more years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agilist, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach.
• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent certification.
• Experience facilitating Agile delivery for technical or software product teams and resolving delivery impediments, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, stakeholder-management, Jira, and Confluence skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the teams' Agile operating rhythm, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team planning.
• Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product thinking, self-management, and value-focused delivery.
• Proactively identify, document, escape, and track impediments, risks, and dependencies through resolution with enterprise partners.
• Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, story readiness, estimation, prioritization, and Sprint Goal development.
• Maintain clear delivery information in Jira, Confluence, and related tools; use metrics to guide improvement.
• Facilitate communication among technical teams, product leadership, customers, and enterprise stakeholders.

Senior Scrum Master | Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite)

Pay Rate: $70/hr - $78/hr

This role will support AI-enabled technical product teams across enterprise technology initiatives, giving you the chance to work on innovative programs that are helping shape how AI is leveraged within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the teams' Agile operating rhythm, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team planning. Ensure ceremonies are purposeful, time-boxed, and focused on decisions, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Coach teams and leaders in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product thinking, self-management, and value-focused delivery. Help teams establish practical working agreements, Sprint Goals, Definitions of Ready, and Definitions of Done.
• Proactively identify, document, escape, and track impediments, risks, and dependencies through resolution, including coordination with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, data, operations, and other enterprise partners.
• Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, story readiness, estimation, prioritization discussions, and Sprint Goal development while supporting the backlog process without owning product priorities or decisions.
• Maintain clear delivery information in Jira, Confluence, and related tools. Use metrics such as cycle time, throughput, aging work, Sprint Goal achievement, carryover, predictability, and impediment trends to guide improvement without comparing or ranking individuals.
• Facilitate communication among technical teams, product leadership, customers, and enterprise stakeholders. Help teams prepare for demonstrations, planning sessions, leadership updates, onboarding, and knowledge transfer.

• Consistent, well-run Agile events with clear decisions, follow-up actions, and improved team alignment
• Stronger backlog readiness, clearer Sprint Goals, and more predictable delivery based on meaningful metrics
• Faster identification and resolution of impediments, risks, and dependencies across teams and enterprise partners
• Increased team self-management, measurable continuous improvement, and reduced delivery-administration burden on Product Owners, technical leads, and the Delivery Lead

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Five or more years of experience with product, project, delivery, or Agile practices
• Three or more years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agilist, Agile Delivery Lead, or Agile Coach
• Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent certification.
• Experience facilitating Agile delivery for technical or software product teams and resolving delivery impediments, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, stakeholder-management, Jira, and Confluence skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multiple Agile teams, product workstreams, or teams at different levels of Agile maturity.
• Experience with AI, cloud platforms, infrastructure, telecommunications, operations, data integrations, emerging technologies, or enterprise governance dependencies.
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban delivery models and using delivery or flow metrics to guide continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, communicate with technical and senior stakeholders, and bring structure to rapidly evolving work.
• Learner mindset, strong curiosity, and a practical approach to problem-solving.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
