MetaOption LLC seeks a Screw Machine Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize tooling and processes for multi-spindle screw machines. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, tooling, and production to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities include leading setup reductions, scrap and downtime improvements, supporting new product launches, and driving continuous improvement. A background in machining, blueprint reading, and SolidWorks is required.

Qualificações

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Acme-Gridley and Davenport screw machines in setup, operation, and engineering.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand cams, gears, and gearing.
• Process improvement skills.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar engineering design software for documenting electro‑mechanical system designs.
• Solid understanding of shop mathematics, decimals, fractions, and metric conversions.

Responsabilidades

• Develop manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Determine optimum cutting speeds, feeds, tooling geometry, cycle times, and machining sequences to maximize productivity.
• Design tooling layouts, cam configurations, tooling sequences, and machine setups for Acme-Gridley and Davenport screw machines.
• Develop standardized setup documentation and process instructions.
• Perform complex machine setups and get approval of new jobs.
• Lead initiatives to reduce setup times, scrap, downtime, tooling costs, and cycle times.
