Job summary

Kelly Scientific is seeking a Sr. Scientist with cosmetics experience to join a growing RID team in the Dallas metro area.

The Senior Scientist will lead formulation of personal care products, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance while exploring new technologies to support company growth. The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in cosmetics/science, advanced knowledge of skincare formulation, FDA/cGMP familiarity, and strong leadership to mentor others and drive

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 10 years of relevant formulation experience in personal care/cosmetics.
Proven experience with topical formulations, R&D, innovation, and ingredient interaction chemistry.
Extensive knowledge of skincare formulation chemistry and FDA regulations familiarity.

Responsibilities

Create formulas independently and ensure stability and product development.
Develop and optimize personal care product formulas.
Lead bench trials to evaluate raw materials.
Manage pre-formulation to scale-up including process characterization and tech transfer.
Collaborate with internal and external teams on product development and QA issues.
Mentor junior scientists and provide technical directions.
