Job summary

Bora Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Principal Scientist - Process and Formulation Development to drive formulation development, process validation, and technology transfer from R&D to commercialization. You will lead development teams, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and serve as a technical resource for clients.

The role emphasizes scale-up, transfer, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including QA, analytical, and operations, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and/or process development.
• Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience in the above fields.
• PhD with at least 3 years of related experience.
• 5+ years of experience with oral solid dosage forms, including formulation and process development, scale-up and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead early-stage formulation development with a QbD approach.
• Drive technology transfer, scale-up, and batch production for development-to-commercial.
• Define CPPs and control strategies across development to commercialization.
• Provide hands-on support for development equipment and suites.
• Mentor junior scientists and support client engagements.
• Assist with quotations, client site visits, and audits.
• Support regulatory inspections and supplier/engineering coordination.
