Responsibilities

• Provides scientific leadership for microbiology reference material and reference standards portfolio
• Leads scientific studies, method development programs, validation strategies, technology development and product characterization
• Identifies, prioritizes and develops new microbiology reference materials to expand portfolio
• Collaborates with documentary standards scientists for product development strategy and decision making
• Leads cross-functional teams through complex product development initiatives
• Mentors scientists and laboratory staff
• Builds partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
• Represents USP as a scientific leader through publications and conferences
• Advises on production investigations, CAPAs, and manufacturing scale-up related to microbiology materials
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives within the microbiology program
• Develops organizational scientific capability via mentorship and leadership
• Monitors emerging technologies and industry trends to strengthen USP portfolio
