Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Applied Scientist for Full-Funnel Campaign optimization. You will invent models to jointly allocate budgets across sponsored ad products, aiming to maximize advertiser outcomes and long-term customer value, and you will set technical direction for a growing team.

You will collaborate with engineering and product to take models from research to production at Amazon scale, driving advertiser ROAS and new-to-brand growth.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a technical field (EE/CS/Math or related).
• 5+ years in predictive modeling and analysis.
• Ability to translate ambiguous advertiser needs into science roadmap.
• Proficient in Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience mentoring senior scientists and developing juniors.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term scientific vision for full-funnel optimization.
• Invent and productionize ML and optimization solutions for joint budget allocation.
• Develop incrementality measurement and long-term-sales modeling.
• Lead large-scale experiments to validate hypotheses.
