Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to join our Supply Science team within Sponsored Products. You will lead end-to-end ML projects, analyze large data sets, and design online experiments to optimize ads across worldwide surfaces.

You will collaborate with PMs and engineers, build scalable models, and push innovative ML techniques from research to production, impacting shopper experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s degree in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python or related languages.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, and distributed computing.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end ML projects with ambiguity, scale and complexity.
• Analyze large data sets, develop ideas and size opportunities; build ML models.
• Design A/B experiments and analyze results with engineers.
• Productionize ML models and develop automated feature generation pipelines.
• Collaborate with other scientists to advance problem solving.
