Job summary
Applied Materials in Massachusetts seeks a senior process engineer to lead the development and testing of electrochemical processing subsystems for wafer and panel cleaning and etching in semiconductor equipment. You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams, apply multiphysics simulations (COMSOL, Ansys) and drive product improvements from prototype to reliability analysis.
PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials or Physics and 10+ years in semiconductor equipment
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics is required.
- 10+ years of experience in the Semiconductor Equipment industry preferred.
- Experience with wet chemical and electroplating processing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and scientists to invent and test subsystems for electrochemical processing of wafers and panels.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and controls engineers for new product development.
- Drive early-stage development through C&F testing and IP filings.
- Apply literature review, design and experimental testing in iterative cycles.
