The University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Scientific Project Lead to manage complex research projects with internal and external collaborators.

You will develop study protocols, write grants, supervise staff, manage budgets, mentor trainees, and draft manuscripts for peer‑reviewed publication. This role requires a BS with 5–7 years or MS with 3–5 years, and is contingent on funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years or Master’s degree and 3–5 years of experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily operations management of research projects; supervises staff and budgets.
• Develops data collection systems, quality control and SOPs.
• Oversees collaborations with other investigators and labs.
• Mentors lab trainees; teaches lab techniques and standardized protocols.
• Drafts articles for publication; prepares data summaries.
