Job summary

Splendora Independent School District is seeking a Lead Dispatcher to oversee transportation operations, assign routes and schedules for bus drivers, and handle all emergency communications. This role requires coordinating with drivers, parents and school staff to ensure safe and economical transportation services.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of school-bus driving experience, a CDL with endorsements, and strong multitasking and communication skills to manage everyday dispatch tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• CDL Class A or B with P&S endorsements; DOT medical clearance.
• Completion of 20-hr Texas DPS Certification Course; TAPT cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and communicate via telephone and two-way radio.
• Notify changes in bus service to drivers, parents, and staff.
• Answer inquiries and route information accurately and promptly.
• Maintain daily logs and prepare reports for transportation.
