Job summary

Qualifications

  • Employment as a teacher in the Edmond School District.
  • Has ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
  • Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
  • The ability to advise, coordinate and support a staff of assistant coaches.

Responsibilities

  • Has a thorough knowledge of athletic policy approved by the Edmond Board of Education and ensures its implementation by the entire staff of the sports program.
  • Knows existing system, state and league regulations, implements them consistently and interprets them for staff.
  • Understands proper administrative line of command and routes requests or grievances through proper channels; attends required meetings.
  • Provides training, rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who participates.
