Qualifications

  • Certified teacher or Rule 10 certification through KSHSAA.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all rules of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
  • Supervise student athletes during all participation phases to minimize risk of injury.
  • Maintain required records for district, athletic conference, state and KSHSAA compliance.
  • Verify forms and eligibility before participation; ensure transfer eligibility and activity tickets.
  • Prepare and submit practice schedules and manage facility usage.
  • Supervise practices and ensure locker room security.
  • Report injuries and follow trainer recommendations for safety.
  • Coordinate equipment checkout and maintain inventory.
  • Promote sportsmanship and communicate expectations to staff, parents and athletes.

Education

Certified teacher or Rule 10 certification (KSHSAA)
CPR and AED certification
