Job summary

Owasso Public Schools is seeking a Varsity Assistant Coach to support the Varsity Head Coach and guide student-athletes toward skill development and sportsmanship. The role emphasizes discipline and teamwork within a high school athletics program.

The assistant coach will help plan practices, monitor safety and records, and travel with the team to events, representing the district professionally at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate required.
• OSSAA certificates required.
• Commercial Driver's Licence (CDL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow district policies and OSSAA policies.
• Demonstrate and teach skills to students.
• Plan and organize practices and games.
• Maintain records and complete paperwork on time.
• Ensure safety and discipline during activities.
• Travel with student-athletes to games/events.
• Represent the school professionally in interactions with students and staff.
