Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our team in Minnesota. The role involves preparing meals from standardized recipes, ensuring quality and timeliness, and supervising support staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a school food service setting preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30 pounds.
• Must pass background check; ServSafe preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepares a variety of menu items through standardized recipes.
• Ensure meals meet quality standards and are prepared within time limits.
• Direct and supervise food service staff during preparation, setup, and serving of meals.
• Prepare and cook all menu items for regular and a la carte lines.
• Lead a small staff and provide clear direction and training.
• Monitor equipment temperatures and ensure food safety standards (HACCP).
• Manage ordering, receiving, storing and inventory control of perishables.
• Reinforce USDA regulations and conduct cost control analyses.
