La Salle Springs Middle School in Wildwood, MO, seeks a Head Custodian to lead custodial staff for a 12-month, 40-hour work week and an early 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift. Compensation is $20.72 per hour, with a 260-day calendar. This exempt role reports to the Custodial Supervisor and requires prior custodial experience and supervisory

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma.
• One to three years custodial experience, prefer supervisory experience in a school or similar setting.
• Knowledge of the hazardous communication system (MSDS).
• Knowledge of custodial tasks, materials, methods, and equipment.
• Knowledge of written and verbal communication techniques.

Responsibilities

• Enter and monitor work orders in FMX or similar system.
• Assist custodians with daily cleaning tasks.
• Assist with scheduling events and weekend building functions.
• Assist with personnel functions—selection, training, evaluation, and retention.
• Instruct on cleaning techniques, chemical use, and equipment operation.
• Keep building locked and secure; maintain communication with supervisors.
• Maintain inventory and monitor overtime.
• Prepare reports on injuries and assist with budget data as needed.
