Job summary

Nebo School District in Utah County is seeking a Head Child Nutrition Worker to prepare and serve meals for students. The position is 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, 177 days per year, with start times 8:00–1:30.

You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, supervise student workers, ensure food safety and sanitary conditions, and coordinate with the Child Nutrition Manager. A high school diploma and Food Handlers Permit are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handlers Permit.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Arrange food, condiments, and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure security.
• Direct work assignments with the Food Service Manager to ensure efficient operations.
• Clean utensils, equipment, and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Inventory food, condiments, and supplies with the manager to meet menu requirements.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in kitchens and cafeterias and ensure safety standards.
• Monitor food items for temperature, portion control, and quality of orders.
• Supervise student workers to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Report equipment malfunctions to keep equipment in good working order.
