Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quantity cooking, safety practices and health standards.
• Current Food Handler’s permit from the Health Department.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work with school-age children.
• Attendance is an essential function.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Physical ability assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Bakes items to meet meal requirements.
• Carries items up to 25 pounds for stocking and serving.
• Records purchases and collects monies at the food line.
• Maintains sanitary kitchen and serving areas.
• cooks from scratch or pre-made items to meet requirements.
• Inspects items to verify orders and health standards.
• Lifts up to 60 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds.
• Monitors safety in kitchen and cafeteria areas.
• Attends to inquiries and serves meals as needed.
• Assists other staff as required.
