Job summary

Rover Elementary in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Nutrition Manager 1 to lead the cafeteria operations for students and staff.

You will ensure a sanitary, safe, and high-quality food service program, supervise staff, and adhere to county, state, and federal guidelines. The role requires coordination with school administration and accurate documentation of meals and inventory.

Starting immediately with a schedule supporting 209 student contact days and a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Three years high volume food service experience preferred.
Must hold a Food Service Manager’s License.
Must have IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

Oversee food service staff to maintain quality control of food production, waste management, and proper storage of food items.
Train staff and follow all standard operating procedures related to food preparation, sanitation, and the safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
Prepare and complete documentation of orders, inventory, menus, production records, and various reports as needed.
Prepare meals according to menus and recipes; implement all federal, state, and district requirements for all meal programs.
Order, receive and verify food and supplies; manage inventory appropriately.
Evaluate assigned staff; document and recommend disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Assist staff in food production and meal accounting.
Communicate daily with department staff and school administration.
