Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a Center Cook to prepare and cook meals for students and staff at the Job Corps facility. You will lead assistant cooks and trainees, ensure food safety and sanitation, and support special events while adhering to government and organizational directives.

The role requires strong attention to safety, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, and commitment to quality meals for a diverse group of learners.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year experience in the food service industry.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Successfully pass background check and drug test required on the contract.

Mansioni

• Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of students and children.
• Instruct assistant cooks and student food service trainees in safe, hygienic methods.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Prepare foods for special Center functions and visitors.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas and cafeteria after each meal.
• Maintain food inventory and reduce waste through proper storage and usage.
• Ensure foods are held and served at proper temperatures and leftovers are stored properly.
• Maintain accountability of students and property; follow safety practices.
