Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years in school food service or hospitality preferred.
• Must be able to train and supervise staff and coordinate tasks.
• ServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire or as required by district policy.
• Ability to manage menus, supply ordering and inventory within a school cafeteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise lunchroom staff and assign/coordinate tasks.
• Ensure timely, courteous service to students and staff.
• Assist the School Food Service Manager with training, scheduling and evaluations.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and clean-up in multiple kitchen areas.
• Maintain health, safety and sanitation standards and PPE usage.
