Job summary

Orange County Public Schools is seeking an experienced School Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations at assigned schools, ensuring meals meet USDA guidelines and district standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ServSafe certification, and 2–5 years of related experience, with IPCS screening and strong leadership, supervision, and communication skills. Travel across OCPS campuses may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in school food service within OCPS; or five years in other school districts or institutional food service.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Must complete Industrial Physical Capability Screening (IPCS).
• Essential personnel during emergencies and may be called back to district locations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, courteous manner.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations for school food service.
• Procure food and supplies needed for operation.
• Prepare and maintain production records and federal/state reports.
• Supervise and train food service assistants.
• Maintain attendance records and free/reduced meal applications.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and parents.
