Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant Site Director for our Before and After School Programs at Frelinghuysen Elementary School in Newton, NJ, for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar and offers shifts in the morning (7:30–8:30 am) and afternoon (3:15–6:15 pm), with opportunities to work both.

The position emphasizes engaging children through play, teamwork with staff and families, and providing safe, high-quality care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program.
• Some lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with before- and after-school programs is a plus.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing helpful but not required.
• Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
