Job summary

HK Solutions Group seeks a Lead Scheduler to own the master resource schedule for crews, equipment, and projects across service lines, including sewer cleaning and CCTV inspection. The role bridges sales, estimating, PM, and field ops to maximize utilization while meeting dates and municipal restrictions.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in scheduling/dispatch, advanced Excel, and experience with Primavera or similar tools, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of scheduling, dispatching, or operations coordination experience in construction, utility, or field services.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple crews, projects, and stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with scheduling/ERP platforms.
• Experience with Primavera and cost-loaded schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to enforce schedule commitments.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and adaptability under pressure.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the master production schedule across all service lines at daily, weekly, and monthly horizons.
• Assign crews and equipment to projects based on scope, certification, capability, and geography.
• Lead weekly scheduling and look-ahead meetings; publish a rolling three-week look-ahead.
• Monitor utilization, backlog, travel, per diem exposure, and production rates; flag conflicts.
• Sequence work around constraints like weather, hours, events, and municipal moratoriums.
• Coordinate mobilization logistics including lodging, equipment transport, and materials.
• Rebuild the schedule as conditions change and communicate revisions promptly.
• Coordinate with shop and fleet on preventive maintenance.
• Partner with HR and Recruiting to communicate staffing needs; with Estimating to confirm capacity.
• Maintain and report scheduling metrics: utilization, adherence, on-time starts, rework.
• Serve as system owner for the scheduling platform and drive adoption.
