Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC seeks aLead Scheduler in Homer City, PA, to develop and maintain detailed project schedules from conceptual planning through engineering and construction. You will work with project managers, engineers, procurement, and contractors to manage critical path, milestones, and changes. Primavera P6 experience is preferred.

The role requires heavy industrial scheduling expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed. Anticipated start: Sep 14, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, construction, and other project services to provide detailed planning and scheduling from conceptual planning through construction.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules with milestones and critical deliverables.
• Create schedule logic and constraints, estimate durations, and assign manpower and resources.
• Assess design changes and schedule slippages; inform management and clients of updates.
• Apply project control concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks and historical data for forecasting.
• Provide guidance to resolve complex project control problems and present schedule health reports to clients.

Job Summary

The Lead Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules from conceptual planning through engineering and construction. The position works closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and other project teams to manage critical path schedules, resources, milestones, delays, and changes while providing schedule updates and project controls guidance. Experience with heavy industrial scheduling, Primavera P6 or similar project controls software, delay claims, and change orders is preferred.

Job Description

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
• Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
• Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources
• Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates
• Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting
• Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems. Interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give schedule health reports.

Skills Required

• Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office products
• Experience in Heavy Industrial Scheduling preferred
• Experience managing teams of schedulers on an integrated schedule.
• Experience in Delay Claims and Change Orders
• Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, various project controls software, such as inEight Suite, Primavera P6, etc.
• Ability to travel and/or relocate as needed
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
