Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC in Homer City, PA seeks a Scheduler II to develop and monitor project schedules across engineering and construction activities. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and field teams to coordinate resources and track milestones.

The role requires strong knowledge of scheduling tools, logical sequencing, and the ability to adapt to design changes. You will provide schedule health reports to clients and management, support planning and controls,

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction management, or similar industry required.
  • Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates.
  • Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
  • Interface with clients, attend regular meetings and give schedule health reports.

Job Summary

The Scheduler II is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules throughout engineering and construction activities. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to coordinate resources, track milestones, identify schedule impacts, and support effective project planning and controls.

Job Description
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Develop resource loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other critical project deliverables to be scheduled and tracked for the projects.
  • Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages and inform company management and clients of all schedule updates.
  • Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks; accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.

Skills Required
  • Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, various project controls software, such as inEight Suite, Primavera P6, etc.
  • Ability to travel and/or relocate as needed.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Highly motivated, with a passion for excellence and being initiative.
  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.

Education/Training/Certifications
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction management, or similar industry required.
