Job summary

Latitude AI is building Ford's autonomous driving future with a scalable ML infrastructure team. You will lead a high-performing engineering group focused on data generation, orchestration, and distributed training, shaping long-term technical strategy and cross-team collaboration.

You will bridge multiple platform teams, drive reliable ML workflows, and advance GPU scheduling, orchestration, and cost-aware compute management. A strong leadership track record is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's plus 10 years experience or Master's with 8+ years in Computer Engineering, CS, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience; at least 5 years in a Staff/Principal or senior technical leadership role.
• Proven track record setting technical strategy across multiple teams or organizations.
• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure for ML.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, driving high technical standards and scalable ML infrastructure.
• Define and own multi-quarter technical strategy for data generation, orchestration, and distributed training; align with other teams' roadmaps.
• Represent Scalable ML in org planning and architecture decisions; resolve cross-team tradeoffs on shared infrastructure (GPU scheduling/quota, job orchestration, storage, compute cost).
• Drive adoption of advanced MLOps practices: model artifact management, experiment tracking, automated deployment and testing strategies.
