Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Leadman to provide leadership and guidance to craft workers on a work crew, assisting the Foreman while functioning as a journeyman. You will build, position, and dismantle forms, scaffolds, and temporary structures per sketches and standards.

The role emphasizes safety, blueprint interpretation, material handling, and scaffold erection with a focus on quality and efficiency in Arkansas job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Follows instructions and existing guidelines; reports to supervisor.
• Requires ability to read blueprints and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Examines, selects and gathers materials and tools.
• Reads blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions.
• Inspects base surface for obstructions.
• Loads, transports and unloads material.
• Measures boards, timbers, or plywood and marks cut lines.
• Saws boards and plywood to required sizes.
• Uses carpentry hand tools (hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills).
• Assembles scaffolding per specifications and secures to structures.
• Erects scaffolding and installs ladders, walkways and platforms.
• Braces forms in place; rigging materials as needed.
• Performs maintenance or cleaning on tools and equipment.
• Complies with safety and project rules; performs other duties as required.
