Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling, and erecting scaffolding while ensuring adherence to project guidelines and schedules.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions; independent judgement required.

Responsibilities

• Examines, selects and gathers materials and tools.
• Examines blue prints and specifications to determine dimensions of structure.
• Inspect base surface for obstructions.
• Loads, transports and unloads material.
• Measures boards, timbers, or plywood, using square, tape, and ruler; marks cutting lines.
• Uses carpentry hand tools and power tools per job specs.
• Assembles scaffold with handrails, braces and planks to specifications.
• Braces forms and anchors for concrete piers, footings and walls.
• Sets and braces anchor bolts; erects scaffolding; installs ladders and walkways.
• Performs minor maintenance and adheres to safety and project rules.
