Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Scaffold Builder - Leadman to supervise tubular scaffolding construction, maintenance, and dismantling on industrial sites across the U.S. The role requires 4 years of journeyman experience, NCCER Scaffold certification, and a valid driver’s license.

You will ensure safety, proper erection, and compliance with site rules. Responsibilities include selecting scaffold types, instructing crews, hoisting materials, securing structures, and performing final inspections.

Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Certification/License: NCCER Scaffold certification and a Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures.
• Determine scaffold type needed and instruct on installation.
• Oversee transport of scaffold and erect as instructed by lead scaffold builder.
• Hoist scaffolding materials to erect temporary structures.
• Secure and level scaffold sections; ensure stability and proper attachment.
• Adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for scaffold erecting and navigation.
• Supervise dismantling when advised and inspect material after dismantling.
• Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding and ensure compliance.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin cannot sponsor visa.
