Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Lead SAP CAP Java Developer to drive backend solutions. You will leverage SAP CAP and Java to deliver scalable enterprise features and ensure timely delivery while aligning with client needs and industry standards.

You will contribute to architecture, design decisions, code reviews, and automated tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid or remote setup to enable high-quality, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of SAP CAP programming model.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and MVC frameworks.
• Hands-on SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
• Experience with testing frameworks: JUnit, Karate, Selenium, Postman.
• Knowledge of agile development practices and Jira/Confluence.
• Nice to have experience with QMate and qTest; exposure to cloud and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of application features meeting specs and quality.
• Develop backend components using Java, REST/CXF, Spring Boot, SAP CAP, and SQL.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, design docs, and reviews.
• Implement automated unit tests to achieve code coverage.
• Design and execute automated functional tests for various scenarios.
• Troubleshoot defects and customer issues within SLAs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical solutions.
