Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Lead Sales Associate in Ohio to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and help with planograms and store opening/closing tasks.

The role includes taking on leadership responsibilities in the absence of store management, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. High school diploma and some supervisory exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company work processes to receive, unpack boxes, stock merchandise, rotate shelves, and build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom; help set up sidewalk displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence.
